Dear Heloise: I have another use for the plastic bags that our newspapers are delivered in nowadays. At our house, we use them for shoe bags when we are traveling.

Also, another convenient plastic bag is the small sandwich size, which is ideal for holding individual pairs of hose, scarves and costume jewelry, which I take along on trips. - Norma in Florida

Dear Heloise: When a friend of mine was newly married and inexperienced in the kitchen, her mother told her how to make chicken soup. She told her to strain the soup for a nice clear broth.
