Kate Starbird scored 29 points to lead No. 1 Stanford to an 82-65 women’s basketball victory over No. 5 Tennessee on Sunday, the Lady Vols’ first back-to-back home losses in more than a decade.

Stanford (9-0) is off to its best start since its latest national championship team started 10-0 in 1991-92.

Tennessee (7-3), was led by Chamique Holdsclaw with 24 points.
