Eric Davis, a former three-time Gold Glove winner, agreed to a $2.2 million, one-year contract with the Baltimore Orioles. They also agreed to a $650,000, one-year contract with Pete Incaviglia.

The Seattle Mariners have signed catcher John Marzano to a one-year, $250,000 contract.

Luis Gonzalez, traded from Houston to the Chicago Cubs in the middle of the 1995 season, returned to the Astros when he agreed to a $1 million, one-year contract.

Third baseman Charlie Hayes agreed on a new two-year contract with the New York Yankees that guarantees him $3,275,000.

The Pittsburgh Pirates signed free-agent shortstop Kevin Elster to a $1.65 million, one-year contract.

Greg Vaughn has accepted San Diego’s offer of salary arbitration.

Atlanta Braves reliever Mike Bielecki accepted the team’s arbitration offer and will be back for a second season.
