The Seattle Mariners did not offer right-handed pitcher Rusty Meacham a contract, and outrighted another right-hander, Scott Davison, to Triple-A Tacoma.

Meacham, 28, was 1-1 in 15 appearances for Seattle, with one save and an ERA of 5.53. Davison, 26, did not record a decision in five outings, posting an ERA of 9.00.

Infielder Luis Sojo and pitchers Scott Kamieniecki and Billy Brewer were not offered 1997 contracts by the New York Yankees, making them free agents. Sojo was acquired from Seattle off waivers Aug. 22 and hit .220 with one homer and 21 RBIs for the Mariners and Yankees.

Mark Lemke, who accepted the Atlanta Braves’ salary arbitration offer earlier in the week, agreed to a $2 million, one-year contract, a raise of $500,000.
