Rogers Knocks Off Shadle Park

During the history of Greater Spokane League basketball, the Shadle Park girls are 37-1 against Rogers.

Make that 37-2 after Saturday, when the Pirates (4-3, 2-1) made 17 of 34 second-half field goals to stop Highlanders 59-34 at Shadle.

Angel Fairbanks scored 13 and Jaime Christensen hit two 3-pointers for Rogers, which held Shadle (4-3, 1-2) to 6-of-27 shooting (22 percent) from the field in the second half.

Rogers’ only other win against Shadle came three years ago.

Riverside broke away in the fourth quarter with easy baskets off its press. Clarkston’s Trisha Johnson had eight rebounds.
