Flyers want Bureau suspended
Flyers president and general manager Bob Clarke said he will ask the NHL to suspend Montreal center Marc Bureau, whose blindside elbow to Flyers defenseman Petr Svoboda’s face put Svoboda in a Pennsylvania Hospital overnight Thursday. Svoboda suffered a concussion and a 2-inch laceration at the back of his head, which struck the ice hard after Svoboda apparently was knocked unconscious. He will miss today’s game in St. Louis and won’t play until at least next Thursday.
