Oregon At WSU

Tipoff: Cougars (10-8, 3-7 Pac-10) hope to revive postseason hopes by beating Ducks (11-10, 4-6) and completing home sweep of Oregon schools. Tipoff 4 p.m.

At a glance: WSU, coming off a slow-paced 61-42 win over Oregon State, faces a dramatic change in tempo against Oregon, which likes to run. Point guard Kenya Wilkins is the Ducks’ catalyst and the Cougars need to contain the quick junior better than they did in Eugene. Oregon won that game 70-63 as Wilkins went off for 20 points. “They’re a real good team and they’re playing good away from home,” WSU scoring leader Isaac Fontaine said of the Ducks, who are coming off an impressive 55-52 upset of Washington in Seattle. The tribute for the late Jack Friel is still scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Lewis Alumni Centre.

Leaders: Oregon - Kenya Wilkins 13.8 ppg, 6.1 apg; Jamal Lawrence 13.2 ppg; Kyle Milling 13.6 ppg, 8.0 rpg. WSU Isaac Fontaine 18.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg; Mark Hendrickson 16.2 ppg, 9.5 rpg; Donminic Ellison 12.4 ppg, 5.1 apg.

TV/Radio: TV: Prime Sports Northwest, 4 p.m. Radio: KXLY (920 AM) Spokane and other stations on the Cougars network, with Bud Nameck, 3:30 p.m.
