Art School Workshops Teach Survival Skills
Struggling to make a living as an artist?
There’s a workshop series just for you.
The Spokane Art School, 920 N. Howard, will conduct three workshops revolving around the theme “How to Survive as an Artist,” March 22, through March 24.
Workshops will deal with the topics “Marketing and Presentation Skills” and “Taking Care of Business,” which will explore the business end of the arts from contracts to pricing.
There will also be a round-table discussion.
Friday and Saturday workshops will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday’s, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The workshops are $30 each; Spokane Art School members and Artist Trust members pay $25. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call 328-0900.
Talk back about Bach
Connoisseur Concerts will present a community advisory meeting, “Talk Bach,” on the Northwest Bach Festival at First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. today.
The forum is to facilitate community input on future plans for the Northwest Bach Festival.
Cyber art
Eastern Washington University is presenting the ninth national Computer Art Invitational at its Gallery of Art on campus through Feb. 29.
The exhibit’s diverse creations are from artists throughout the country, including Michael Miller of Spokane and Brian Iverson of Nine Mile Falls.

Auditions
The Carrousel Players of the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre will conduct auditions next month for its summer musical season.
This year’s musicals include “Gypsy,” “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” “Evita” and “Brigadoon.”
Students audition on March 16 at North Idaho College from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adults audition on March 30.
