Spokane Public Safety Committee

Monday, 11 a.m. regular meeting, fifth-floor conference room, City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. The board will discuss the next phase of the computer-aided dispatch/records management system for the police department.

Spokane City Council

Monday, 3 p.m. citizen briefing, lower-level conference room;

3:30 p.m. council briefing;

6 p.m. public forum;

6:30 p.m. regular meeting;

City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

The council plans a hearing on a proposed land-use change that would allow a grocery store on property between Third and Fourth avenues, Ray and Thor streets, in the East Central neighborhood.

Spokane Hearing Examiner

Tuesday, 9 a.m. regular meeting, second-floor conference room, City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

The hearing examiner will consider plans for a community policing substation on the northwest corner of Shannon Avenue and Wall Street.

Also, the Spokane County Housing Authority is asking for a land-use change to allow a 110-unit affordable housing project and a 62-unit senior housing project on land south of Empire Avenue between Lacey and Cook streets.

Wednesday, 6-9 p.m., Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority, grass burning hearing, lower level of the Public Works Building.

Thursday, 9:30 a.m., meeting with the new human resources director, Ben Duncan, about expectations and direction;

10:30 a.m., meeting over Superior Court;

11 a.m., meeting to discuss a proposed sex arcade ordinance
