Lakeland Picks Up Second Win

Scott Rothrock led three players in double figures with 14 points Saturday to guide Lakeland to a 62-55 Intermountain League win over visiting St. Maries at Rathdrum.

The Hawks (2-15, 2-7) let a 20-point lead slip away to six before steadying themselves. Jeremy Craner scored 11 for St. Maries.

At Harrison, Ben Gelber scored 31 and the visitors from Canada hit late free throws to squelch a rally by the Warriors (1-13).

Kootenai, which trailed by 21 at halftime, cut the lead to three points with 90 seconds left.

Kootenai, No. 5 from the North Star League, plays an A-4 District I loser-out game Monday at the No. 4 seed. Clark Fork and Falls Christian tied for third in the NSL.
