Man Slashed With Glass Shard

From Staff And Wire Reports

An attacker smashed a glass cooking pot and used the jagged edge of the handle in a North Side slashing Saturday night.

Spokane police arrested 26-year-old Raymond C. Hughes, 1630 E. Garland, on suspicion of first-degree burglary and first-degree assault.

The victim, a 20-year-old man who lives in the 3000 block of East Everett Avenue, was reported in satisfactory condition Sunday with cuts to his throat, chest and leg.

Police said the attack occurred shortly after Hughes broke into the victim’s apartment, sparking an argument.
