Builders Seek School Ideas
Builders may not like the idea of being forced to provide school facilities in new subdivisions, but they are open to other ideas on how to help ease school overcrowding, according to a local business group.
On Wednesday, the North Idaho Building Contractor’s Association is hosting a panel of school administrators that will discuss what the association can do to help schools.
The association was among several business interests that have opposed a proposed amendment to the Post Falls land-use plan.
The amendment would let the city turn down a development if adequate school facilities are not available to house students.
The city’s Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that the amendment not be adopted.
The panel discussion will be part of the NIBCA’s general membership meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Templin’s Resort.
The meeting is open to the public.
