Flyers 4, Devils 1

Philadelphia

John LeClair scored his 30th goal as Philadelphia handed New Jersey just its second loss in 12 games.

The Devils entered the game 3-0 against the Flyers this season - after beating them in the Eastern Conference finals last season - and were 6-1-4 in their previous 11 games overall.

Philadelphia scored twice within 46 seconds in the third period. With 15:38 to go, Rod Brind’Amour knocked in his own rebound for his 17th goal, assisted by former Spokane Chief star Pat Falloon. LeClair then passed to Dan Quinn in the slot, and Quinn one-timed it for his ninth goal of the year.
