Utep Considers Sex Offender

Texas El-Paso is showing “very preliminary” interest in Richie Parker, a former New York high school basketball star and a convicted sex offender.

Parker, who played for Manhattan Center High School, was considered one of the nation’s top prospects last year, until he was convicted of a 1994 assault on a teenage girl. Parker forced her to perform oral sex in a school hallway.
