Hints From Heloise

Dear Heloise: I’m writing to you with a hint from my mom, Grace Bone. She lives alone and has no one to help her lift the mattress when she is putting a freshly laundered bedskirt back on. She gets two large cans from the pantry and places them between the mattress and box springs, a foot or two from the foot of the bed. This gives her a few inches of space in which to position the bedskirt. Then she simply keeps moving the cans toward the head of the bed as she keeps positioning the bedskirt. I tried this and it worked wonderfully. I don’t have an excuse now for not washing the bedskirt often! - Deborah Hansen, Euless, Texas xxxx
