Wrenn Leads Nissan Open
Robert Wrenn shot a 2-under-par 69 to break out of a three-way tie for the Nissan Open lead in Los Angeles. Wrenn, relegated to satellite tournaments in 1995 after a decade on the PGA Tour, went to 6 under through two rounds over Riviera Country Club.
Former Pullman resident Kirk Triplett is tied for fifth with a score of 69-70-139.
At Sarasota, Fla., Dave Stockton shot a 7-under-par 65 for a one-shot lead after the first round of the American Express Invitational, a Seniors event.
At Honolulu, Sherrin Smyers and Jane Geddes, the only players under par after two rounds, shared the lead at 2-under 142 in the Hawaiian Ladies Open.
