University 215-pound wrestler Jeff Schmedding handed North Central’s Brian Burrow his first Greater Spokane League loss, the first of nine straight Titans victories Wednesday night in the course of a 48-20 win.
“It killed us,” said NC coach Randy Cloke of the 215-pound setback. “We had to win it to beat them.”
Following Schmedding’s win, the Titans (2-1) added five pins and two major decisions en route to a 48-5 lead. NC dropped to 2-2.
