Colleen Lawler scored 17 points off the bench and new starting guard Dani Fine had 16 points, five assists and four rebounds Wednesday as Community Colleges of Spokane broke a two-game conference losing streak with a 72-65 win over Big Bend at Moses Lake.
CCS (8-8, 1-2 NWAACC) also got 10 points off the bench from Jaclyn Humphrey.

Prep wrestling
Pins in the first two matches started University toward a 44-18 Greater Spokane League wrestling dual win over visiting Ferris.
Trailing 19-14, Tim Buchanan of U-Hi pinned Ty Williams in the last second in the 190-pound match. U-Hi’s Jeff Schmedding (215) followed with a third-round pin of Jeremy Morton.
Chris Cluver (275) of Ferris won an entertaining 21-20 match over Jeff Hollenbach, then the Titans broke loose with five consecutive wins. Gordon Bash (101), Jared Osborn (115) and Sam Butler (158) had U-Hi’s other pins. Eric Simmons (168) had Ferris’ lone pin. U-Hi (4-1) remained in third place and closed ground on Gonzaga Prep (5-0) and Central Valley (4-0), who wrestle tonight. Sixth-place Ferris is 2-4.
