Montana Coach Read Honored

Montana football coach Don Read was named the Division I-AA coach of the year by the American Football Coaches Association.

Read guided the Grizzlies to the school’s first Division I-AA championship, defeating Marshall 22-20 in the championship game.

The other winners selected were Gary Barnett of Northwestern University in Division I-A, Bobby Wallace of the University of North Alabama in Division II and University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse’s Roger Harring in Division III.
