Lock This Movie In A Biodome Forever

Chris Hewitt St. Paul Pioneer Press

Sometimes a movie is so crummy a thesaurus just isn’t enough - you want to invent new words for “rotten” (gractious? tripular?).

“Biodome,” is such a movie. Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin are a pair of waste cases who wander into an environmentally controlled atmosphere and have to live there for a year with five scientists.

You pretty much know what you’ll get with a Shore effort, but just in case your tastes differ from mine, here’s a partial list of the wackiness to be found in “Biodumb”:

Baldwin chewing Shore’s toenails, two scenes of flatulence analysis (I really can’t say more), a lame “JFK” parody ripped off from “Seinfeld,” simulated sex with a carrot, exploding bunnies, Roger Clinton and a tree-huggingly inspirational message.

Jim Carrey has shown that dumb can be funny, but “Biodome” is merely dumb. Still, let’s give the drivel its due - Shore has shown he’s better at doing “annoying” than anyone. He must be stopped.
