Los Angeles general manager Sam McMaster was in Toronto Thursday night discussing trade options with the Maple Leafs. Rumors about an impending trade of Wayne Gretzky have been running rampant, but McMaster said they were “absolutely” unfounded… . Paul Kariya of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks will replace injured Vancouver winger Pavel Bure as a starter in the NHL all-star game… . Craig MacTavish of Philadelphia and Denis Savard of Chicago, were added to the two all-star rosters under the senior player category.
