Coach Fine After Feeling Ill
Marquette basketball coach Mike Deane returned to Milwaukee with his team after undergoing medical tests at a Cincinnati hospital that were negative.
Marquette officials said Deane felt nauseous and lightheaded during Saturday night’s 91-70 loss at Cincinnati, and on the advice of doctors, he went to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for tests.
Ryan Holmes was suspended indefinitely from the Central Michigan basketball team following a locker room fight in which teammate Mike Walker sustained a broken jaw.
Walker, a senior, was treated at a hospital and is sidelined indefinitely.
