Camby Out At Least Two Weeks As Doctors Search For Answers

Compiled From Wire Services

Massachusetts basketball center Marcus Camby will be sidelined at least two weeks for further tests, which so far show no heart abnormalities.

The star center, who collapsed Sunday minutes before a game against St. Bonaventure, underwent a number of preliminary tests at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Mass.

Camby returned to Massachusetts on Monday, saying he felt “100 percent” and was “anxious to get back on the court.”

Michael Lloyd, the guard who left Syracuse under a cloud of eligibility questions, has enrolled at Auburn-Montgomery and is waiting for clearance to play.

Lloyd’s name surfaced as part of a nationwide NCAA investigation into questionable correspondence credits obtained by junior college players.

The Big Sky Conference named Montana State forward Adam Leachman and Boise State guard Gerry Washington as men’s basketball players of the week.
