Police Relations Officer Gets ‘New’ Car

From Staff Reports

The Coeur d’Alene police community relations officer may not have a new car, but thanks to a business donation it looks like he’s riding in style.

Officer Jason MacNeil had been using a dented 1988 Crown Victoria since October to attend schools and community meetings where he gives safety and Block Watch talks.

MacNeil repaired an old light bar himself along with the chipped and rusted wheels that had been on the old police car.

Oneal Jones, owner of Silver Lake Auto Body and Paint, donated his time and money to give the car a new paint job that included striping and a Block Watch insignia. The paint job is worth an estimated $2,500.
