Um’s Spoja Could Miss Today’s Game
University of Montana forward Chris Spoja hurt his right wrist in practice this week and his status for today’s men’s basketball game against Montana State is questionable.
An X-ray showed he did not break anything, school officials said.
“His status is up in the air,” said UM coach Blaine Taylor. “We’re hopeful, but it’s his right wrist and that impacts this weekend and the rest of the season.”
Spoja, a 6-foot-5 junior from Helena, averages 11.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
He fell after completing a slam dunk during practice on Wednesday and did not practice Thursday.
The Grizzlies and Bobcats meet for the 243rd time today at 8 p.m. in Bozeman.
Both teams are 2-0 in the Big Sky Conference.
