At Lawrence, Kan., Raef Lafrentz slammed home an alley-oop dunk to give the Jayhawks (15-1, 3-0 Big Eight) a win over the Sooners (10-7, 2-3).

Tyrone Foster’s 3-pointer pulled Oklahoma to 66-59 with under 3 minutes to play. But Jacque Vaughn connected with Lafrentz on the alley-oop and the Jayhawks then used the clock to keep Oklahoma at bay.

At Olean, N.Y., Damon Watlington scored 22 points and Ace Custis added 13 as the Hokies (12-1, 5-0 Atlantic 10) held off a late charge to beat the Bonnies (5-10, 1-5).

Virginia Tech stretched its winning streak to nine games with the victory.
