New Treatment For Ulcers Discussed
It’s not stress and those spicy foods you fondly remember that trigger ulcers. No, the ulcer-producing culprit these days is known as H. pylori.
Dr. Michael Kestell, a gastroenterologist, will discuss the cause and new treatment options available for duodenal and gastric ulcers from noon to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the Deaconess Health and Education Center, 910 W. Fifth.
General admission is $5, but free for members of Women’s Health Network and Health Access. Bring a sack lunch if you want; beverages will be provided.
Women’s health hotline
Physical therapists will answer questions from women across the nation about their health concerns, including osteoporosis, on a toll-free hotline from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Pacific Time), Feb. 16 and 17.
Free physical therapy brochures will be available. The number is 1-800-955-7848.
