Police Hunt Suspect In Small Explosion

Police are looking for a suspect in the detonation of a small explosive device Saturday evening in a parking lot at Coeur d’Alene City Hall.

The explosion occurred at 8:25 p.m. in the City Hall’s lower parking lot. Police found “tightly bunched fireworks sparklers heavily wrapped in gray duct tape.”

No damage was done to City Hall.

Witnesses reported a male in the area shortly before the explosion.
