Simpson Trying To Get Kids Back

Compiled From Wire Services

O.J. Simpson - concerned that his children are not learning enough about their black heritage - has made the first move to get them back, the Daily News reported Thursday.

Simpson informed Nicole Brown Simpson’s parents last month that he wants immediate custody of his daughter Sydney, 10, and son Justin, 7, the newspaper said.

But Louis and Judith Brown, who have had temporary guardianship of their grandchildren since Simpson’s arrest two years ago, balked, and a judge sent the dispute to mediation, the News said, citing unidentified sources.

“O.J. feels it’s time now for the kids to be back with their father,” an unidentified source in the Simpson camp told the Daily News. “He’s concerned that they’re not being raised in an interracial environment, and he’s afraid that they are not learning enough about their black heritage.”

The newspaper also said Simpson planned to enroll his children in classes near his Los Angeles home next term.
