Man Injures 7 With Machete

A man with a machete burst into a nursery school tea party Monday and hacked away at children and adults, injuring seven people before parents chased him away.

A 3-year-old boy and one adult were reported in serious condition. Two other children and three adults were less seriously hurt.

Police in this city in central England said they were seeking a nearby resident, Horrett Irving Campbell, 32, in the attack. It came four months after a gunman barged into a school in Dunblane, Scotland, killing 16 children and a teacher before killing himself. That assault prompted calls for tighter security at schools.
