Pilot To Explain Soaring Program

From Staff And Wire Reports

Joe McCarron, the family therapist who began an aeronautics incentive program for reforming troublemaker kids, will explain his non-profit SOARING program to the public at 7 p.m. Monday in the Civil Air Patrol Building at the Coeur d’Alene Airport.

McCarron found pilots, mechanics and other flight-related workers who want to mentor kids who are trying to straighten out their lives.

At the meeting, McCarron will answer questions and show kids the biplane in which they might earn rides as part of the program. The Civil Air Patrol is housed in Building 2 at the south end of the airport. For information, call 765-4512. , DataTimes
