Ncaa Considers Relaxing Rules

Compiled From Wire Services

The NCAA, hoping to control agents and stem the tide of athletes leaving early, is considering loan programs for top-flight athletes and relaxing rules against players holding jobs.

The committee’s proposals will go to the policy-making council to determine whether it should be included on the agenda of the NCAA convention next January. The proposals would then have to be approved by majority vote of the roughly 300 Division I schools.
