Boy Not Found After River Search

From Staff And Wire Reports

Divers searched the Spokane River near Riverfront Park early Saturday for a boy who reportedly fell off a bridge in the park.

A Western Security employee told police he saw a boy between 7 and 10 years old walking along the Howard Street bridge railing about 3:25 a.m.

The boy reportedly lost his balance and fell into the water when the security officer called out and ran toward him, police said.

The city-county search and rescue team combed the river for three hours, but did not find the boy or any evidence.
