Drowning Victim Was Spokane Man

A man who drowned near Grouse Creek after apparently being trapped under a log has been identified as Joshua Quincy Noble, 18, of Spokane.

Noble and two friends were swimming near Grouse Creek Falls north of Sandpoint early Sunday afternoon when Noble went under, according to a Bonner County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher.

Bonner County deputies, the dive team and search-and-rescue personnel were called in to remove the body.
