Dear Heloise: When framing a picture, using small brads to hold the picture in the frame is difficult. I have found a way to make it easier.

First, I take a longer nail and make a small hole where I want to put the brad. Then I clip a bobby pin on the brad (a straight one works best), insert the brad in the hole and pound it in.

When the principal of the elementary school where I work celebrated her birthday, the students brought flowers from their gardens. The secretaries added baby’s breath to the three large bouquets made from flowers from the students.
