Boris Becker beat his old nemesis Stefan Edberg in two sets at London to win the Queen’s grass-court, looking sharp and relentless in the all-important warm-up for Wimbledon.

Becker was patchy in victories leading up to the final. But in the 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) victory against Edberg, his serve was better and his backhand was lethal as he won his fourth title here in his fifth final.

Fastness continued his mastery of Hollywood Park’s turf course, coming from behind to win the $700,000 Shoemaker Breeders’ Cup Mile by 1-1/2 lengths over Romarin.

The 6-year-old gray Irish-bred improved his record to five victories in six starts on his “home course” by running a mile in 1:32-3/5.
