Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: On a van trip to New England, instead of putting my freshly ironed shorts in a suitcase, I lay them full-length in my laundry basket, along with sleepwear, underwear, socks etc.
At each motel stop, I would take out what I’d need for the night and wearables for the next day, put them in an easy-to-carry shopping bag and leave the heavier basket on the seat in the van. It made for a great trip for me. - Dot Harkins, Richmond, Ky.
Dear Heloise: I’m handicapped and can’t address letters very well. So my friends and relatives who use return-address labels on their mail send me a supply of their labels to use. Works great.
I also clip addresses off incoming mail, then I put them, along with hard-to-spell words, in my address book. - Faye Schlenker, Wynne, Ark.
