Shannon Zielinski Spokane
Memorial service for Shannon R. Zielinski, 39, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ione (Wash.) Park. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Zielinski, whose body was found June 14, was born in Ione.
She had lived in Los Angeles, where she worked as a waitress, and recently moved to Spokane.
Ms. Zielinski is survived by a daughter, Heather Smith; her father, Lester Porter; her mother, Susanne Loflin; three brothers, Matthew, Stuart and Mark Porter; and two sisters, Cheri Myrick and Karen Costellow.

Edward Walser Moscow, Idaho
Service for Edward Walser, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Freeze Church, north of Potlatch, Idaho. Burial will follow at Freeze Cemetery. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Walser, who died Wednesday at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, was born in Alma, Wis.
His family moved to the Potlatch area when he was young. He farmed in the Flannigan Creek area with his family before moving to Moscow in 1992.
Mr. Walser is survived by a brother, Herbert Walser of Moscow; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Erma Durheim Spokane
Service for Erma E. Durheim, 77, will be at 1 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Durheim, a resident of Four Mound Prairie, died Wednesday.
She was born in Forbes, N.D.
She was a 58-year Spokane area resident and worked as a clerk for Sears from 1961 to 1981.
She was a member of Spring Hill Grange No. 909, the Four Mound Homemakers, Audubon Park United Methodist Church and the YWCA.
Her husband of 49 years, Howard, preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Loretta Durheim; two sons, Edward and Larry, both of Nine Mile Falls; three sisters, Edith Steinwand and Etta Otterstetter, both of Ellendale, N.D., and Ellen Schirr of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Beryle Campbell Spokane
Memorial service for Beryl R. Campbell, 65, will be at 1 p.m. July 20 at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The July gathering will be for both Mrs. Campbell and her husband, Dean Campbell, who died May 9.
Mrs. Cambpell, who died June 15, was born in Coeur d’Alene.
She worked in quality assurance for manufacturing companies, including Output Technologies in the Spokane Valley.
Survivors include one son, W.E. “Bud” Pederson of Spokane; one sister, Wanda Babcock of Wilbur, Wash.; three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Spokane.
Ruth Cooper-Gilles Spokane
Graveside service for Ruth A. Cooper-Gilles, 61, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cooper-Gilles, who died Thursday, was born in Kalispell, Mont.
She graduated from Springdale (Wash.) High School and worked in the production department of Goodwill Industries for 10 years.
She was a member of the Indoor Sports Club.
Mrs. Cooper-Gilles is survived by two sons, Perry Archer of Spokane and Doug Barnett of Post Falls; two daughters, Lorri Klaue and Sandra Krepps, both of Spokane; four brothers, William Cooper of Sioux City, S.D., Clinton Cooper of Spokane, Dell Cooper of Pacifica, Calif., and Roy Cooper of Moses Lake; one sister, Edith Bradley of Spokane; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
Anna ‘Grace’ O’Connor Spokane
Visitation for Anna “Grace” O’Connor, 69, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paschal Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. O’Connor, who died Wednesday, was born in Oroville, Wash.
She was a homemaker and moved to Spokane in 1937.
Her husband, Terence O’Connor, died May 28. She is survived by two sons, Barry O’Connor of Herndon, Va., and Terry O’Connor of Spokane; two daughters, Beverly Butler and Vickie White, both of Spokane; one sister, Jessie Medley of Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, James Johnson of Washington, D.C., and John Johnson; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Doris ‘Peg’ Michaelis Spokane
Visitation for Doris “Peg” Michaelis, 73, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Sunday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Rock of Ages Christian Fellowship with burial at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Michaelis died Wednesday from complications due to cancer.
She was born in The Dalles, Ore.
She was a homemaker and a 55-year Spokane area resident.
She was a member of Rock of Ages Christian Fellowship and was involved in Elijah House ministries.
Mrs. Michaelis is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter Michaelis; two sons, Rod and Randy Michaelis, and one daughter, Becky Michaelis, all of Spokane; four sisters, two brothers and six grandchildren.
