Entries are being accepted from landowners with acreages big for the annual Wildlife Enhancement Contest sponsored by the Inland Empire Chapter of Safari Club International.

The contests offers $500 in prizes to landowners who display extra effort in providing wildlife habitat. Projects funded through government programs are not eligible.

Factors considered in judging include wintering grounds, food sources, impact on wildlife, breeding and nesting grounds, long-term benefits and surrounding conditions, said contest coordinator Alan Knott.
