Key to the game: Even though the Huskies (21-8) hit just 2 of 6 free throws in the last minute, they were helped by the fact the Mountaineers (21-7) made just one field goal in the last 4:54.
Other highlights: In a game of streaks, Rainier scored just two first-quarter points and trailed 22-16 at the half. The Mountaineers went on a 7-0 run to start the third for 23-22 lead. They then put together an 8-1 run to start the fourth, however, they would score only once more after taking a 38-33 lead… . For Morton, Sarah Coleman had 20 points and 16 rebounds… . Rainier’s Melissa Mitchell led the Mountaineers with 15 points.

Key to the game: The Wildcats (24-4) overcame a sluggish third quarter and managed to hold off the Indians (19-9). Reardan’s Katie Supinger scored nine of her team’s 17 third-quarter points as the Indians scrambled to get back in the game.
Other highlights: Reardan’s Lisa Bocook shot just 4 for 13 from the field (1 for 6 from 3-point range), and as a team, the Indians were only able to convert 42 percent of their shots… . Wilbur-Creston made half of its shots. The Wildcats’ Holly Arden and Jessica Martin made 15 of the team’s 27 field goals.

Wishkah Valley’s Mindy McElliott scored 19 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and was 6 of 14 from the field.
