Deadly Twisters Rip Through Trailer Parks

Associated Press

Tornadoes, high wind and heavy rain killed six people at two trailers parks Wednesday, and forecasters said even worse weather could be on the way.

As cleanup efforts began over miles of devastated rural landscape in west-central Alabama, forecasters said a second storm front was approaching, raising threats of severe flooding and more tornadoes.

Four people died when a tornado struck trailer homes in Dallas County north of Selma. Two more deaths were reported at a trailer park in east Montgomery, about 50 miles east of Selma.
