Pelluer Hired By UW

Scott Pelluer, a four-year starter at outside linebacker for Washington State, has been hired as the Washington Huskies’ assistant coach for safeties.

Pelluer, defensive coordinator at Northern Arizona the past three seasons, replaces Phil Elmassian, who left in January to become defensive coordinator at Boston College.

Pelluer, a 1981 graduate of WSU, played six years for the New Orleans Saints, then worked as recruiting coordinator at Boise State in 1986-92.

His brother, Steve Pelluer, was a quarterback at Washington and in the NFL.
