Advice On Sba Disaster Loans Available

Help for business owners applying for Small Business Administration disaster loans is available at selected Washington Small Business Development Center locations.

Small-business owners hit hard by recent flooding can borrow up to $1.5 million to replace or repair equipment or keep their businesses running until normal operations resume.

Washington SBDC counselors who serve counties included in the federal disaster declarations were trained recently in SBA loan procedures. Counselors will consult one-on-one with business owners applying for physical disaster loans or economic injury disaster loans.

The deadline for physical-disaster loan applications is April 11. Loan applications for economic injury must be submitted by Nov. 12. Businesses located in counties declared disaster areas are eligible for both programs. Business operating in continguous counties may be eligible for economic-injury loans if businesses were affected by flooding.
