Inland Power Posts Lower Net Margin
Inland Power & Light Co. financial results for 1995 should look like those for 1994, but they don’t, General Manager Dick Heitman said Wednesday.
The difference, he said, is revenues from operations at Lincoln Electric Cooperative Inc., which closed the books on its operations last August. Lincoln County is now served by Inland, whose service area reaches from northern Spokane County to southeastern Washington, generally hugging the Idaho state line.
Heitman said the timing of the final settling of accounts wiped more than $800,000 from revenues collected by Lincoln just before the settlement date.
If those were included on Inland’s books, there would be less of a gap between the $5.1 million in net margin reported in 1994 and the $3.7 million for 1995, he said. Net cash provided by operations was almost identical for the two years.
Inland members will hold their annual meeting Saturday at Colfax High School, with the business meeting scheduled for 1 p.m. , DataTimes
