Man Faces Charges In Killings
Kyle Richardson is scheduled to stand trial starting Aug. 26 for allegedly conspiring with Kenneth Arrasmith to kill a Clarkston, Wash., couple last May.
But Richardson’s attorney, Scott Chapman, told 2nd District Judge Ronald Schilling that he intends to file a motion as soon as possible that may settle the case before the trial.
Richardson, 25, of Lewiston, pleaded innocent to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder at his arraignment Monday. He is accused of providing the Tec-9 semiautomatic handgun used by Arrasmith to kill Ronald and Luella Bingham on May 17 outside a Lewiston auto repair shop.
Prosecutors also contend Richardson offered $2,500 to two men to kill some people and that he attempted in the days before the Bingham murders to obtain more ammunition for the Tec-9 because one clip was not enough.
Arrasmith, who says the Binghams sexually abused his teenage daughter, was found guilty of first- and second-degree murder last November. Judge Ida Leggett sentenced him to life in prison in February.
