Steelers Running Back Arrested After Cops Find 6 Pounds Of Pot In Car

Compiled From Wire Services

Pittsburgh running back Bam Morris was released from jail Friday following his arrest for possession of marijuana.

Morris was arrested near Rockwell, Texas, during a traffic stop after police found what they said was more than 6 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his car.

Morris, 24, the leading rusher in this year’s Super Bowl, and Rodney Dwayne Reynolds, 26, a passenger, were arraigned Friday afternoon.

The men, both from Cooper, Texas, appeared in court wearing handcuffs and orange coveralls. Each posted $25,000 bond within an hour of arraignment. If convicted of the third-degree felony, the men could get two to 10 years in prison.

The Dallas Cowboys signed free-agent linebacker Broderick Thomas.

The Cincinnati Bengals donated nearly one-third of the $1 million spent to persuade voters to approve a sales tax hike that will help build two stadiums.

The baseball Reds did not contribute to the campaign, which voters approved.
