Low-Speed Chase
A Spokane man drove seven miles on flattened tires before being arrested Saturday night after a 19-mile “low-speed vehicle pursuit” by police through the Silver Valley.
Stuart Hill, 28, refused to yield to the flashing lights and sirens of officers from six police agencies chasing him, said Shoshone County Sheriff Dan Schierman.
The chase began after sheriff’s deputy Bob Tillman spotted Hill’s car stopped in the middle of a driving lane on I-90 near Kellogg. The vehicle’s lights were off.
Idaho State Police troopers laid tire spikes across the road 12 miles into the chase. Hill ran over the spikes, but kept driving, authorities said.
