Steffi Graf extended her winning streak to 18 matches by beating No. 8 Lindsay Davenport 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals of the Lipton Championships.

Her opponent in Saturday’s final will be No. 6 Chanda Rubin, who rallied past unseeded Karina Habsudova 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

No. 2 seed Pete Sampras and No. 6 Goran Ivanisevic will stage a serving showdown in the men’s semifinals tonight. Sampras beat unseeded Floridian Vince Spadea 6-3, 6-4, while Ivanisevic smacked 12 aces and overpowered No. 4 Michael Chang 6-4, 6-4.

No. 3 Andre Agassi will play No. 15 Arnaud Boetsch of France in the other semifinal today.
