Waldholtz Jailed For Failure To Return Money
A judge jailed the estranged husband of U.S. Rep. Enid Waldholtz on Thursday for failing to return $600,000 his relatives suspect him of stealing.
Joe Waldholtz, 35, was held in contempt of court and ordered to produce records showing what he did with money he was supposed to be investing for his grandmother, who is incapacitated by Alzheimer’s disease.
Waldholtz said nothing as he was handcuffed and led from the courtroom.
Allegheny County Judge Robert Kelly also ordered Waldholtz to return any of the money he still has.
Waldholtz told the judge that the records are in his Washington, D.C., home, and that he has been too busy negotiating his divorce to provide them.
