Motorcyclist Hurt In Wreck

A Spokane man sustained internal injuries Monday night when his motorcycle slammed into the back of a car on the South Hill.

Jason Schulwitz, 23, was thrown from his 1993 Suzuki 750 after he crashed into the back of a Toyota sedan on 57th near Freya, the Washington State Patrol reported.

He was taken by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center with internal, back and arm injuries.

Schulwitz was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday.

The driver of the car, Mari Sweeney, 29, of Spokane, suffered cuts and bruises in the crash, WSP reported.

Schulwitz reportedly had just turned onto 57th from Regal and was traveling east at high speed when he smashed into Sweeney’s car, which had just entered the eastbound lane of 57th from Freya.
